Enlightenment—Solving the simultaneous equation

A friend had been a hard-core seeker for ages, and he was tired. So tired in fact that he planned to commit suicide. He visited friends and family to say good-by—without telling them about his plan of course—and on one of such visits they decided to watch a video in which Abraham-Hicks spoke. He had an illumination as he saw her describe what he had studied for years with so much eloquence and beauty that he fainted. When he woke up the shift that he had been after for so long had finally occurred.

Most spiritual teachers appeal to the consciousness. They present theories, something that our mind can grasp and hang onto. The study of wisdom has its place. After all, the friend likely had his breakthrough because he had studied spirituality intensively for years, yet something what missing, an initiation, a sharing of higher frequencies apparently communicated by the skilled teacher Abraham-Hicks when the time was ripe. In my book Breaking Free I developed the acronym S (erenity) E (nergy) L (ove) F (low) which described the simultaneous workings of the ascension process quite well.

Spiritual teachings are useful because they give us yardsticks how to approach life. They give us serenity and quiet down our monkey mind to some extent: non-duality, ego contemplations, self inquiry, meditation, mindfulness, etc. As we learn and experience break-throughs, an energy pathway is laid within which is often referred to as kundalini energy. Our heart-center expands which is an awakening to unconditional love. Lastly, the flow of life simply mirrors our own self-induced interferences back to us. Life is unfolding spontaneously moment by moment when the transition from self to S-E-L-F is complete.

The problem with simultaneous equations is that one has to start somewhere even if the pieces don’t quite fit together yet. The subconscious is God’s domain; the conscious element is what we can work with. We are all eager to share our conscious insights but are a bit more reluctant to reveal the subconscious elements that go with it. Keep going—the power of S-E-L-F leads the way.
