I had a dream the other night that a bogeyman wanted to poison and kill me. As he was dropping his poison on me I woke up. Likewise, can we argue that the ego—pursing spirituality or being misguided—is just an instrument to wake us up? So what if we mess up occasionally. If that is the poison to Awake then so be!
