Just observe

 That’s how we deal with the psychological “I”. We just look at what we see. The guru and his appeal; the fear and its aversion; the desire and what it promises. Ego cannot be outguessed. It can be analyzed until the cows come home but nothing changes because the “I” is the analyzer. But we can look at a situation with new eyes and with inner silence feel that the story in our head doesn’t sound right. Try it and the curtain in front of the illusion falls.
