How do you deal with failure? Do you conclude that you just aren't good at something, or do you decide that you haven't mastered a skill yet? Observe what thoughts go through your mind when disaster strikes. Your own attitude will greatly influence how you react to the event. A spiritual traveler will tell you that failure doesn't exist; all you are facing is another opportunity to dance with life again.
You can become a master in the game of life, but is does require some practice and a few missed steps. Become an expert in reading and building your body. Understand the flow and intensity of your emotions. Get along with your mind as well as with your friends and colleagues. Master life's energies and surf on the ocean of life. Pursue all the crafts and the hobbies that allow you to express your love and creativity. Life is here to teach you how to excel. Take the cues that guide you and learn to get the "I" out of the way. Soon you learn that you live in the best of all worlds, being able to burn your drives by surfing the tides while getting all the fruits of the sea that you desire.
Failures along the way are designed to help you understand the monsters of your own making. Never fight these, as you would only give them more power. Channel your frustrations into the effort and the project at hand instead. As you build confidence in what you are doing, and as your love of your creation and the people you work with grow, see how the monsters of your mind fade into nothingness. In fact, you can even turn the movie plot around. Thank the participants who bring pain into your life for showing you what is hidden under your hood. Don't shoot the messengers; your own fears is what you need to stand up to instead. See how your feelings and attitude change when you tackle a problem with this new-found perspective.
Nothing is either good or bad, but everything is useful in building you and in helping you discover who you truly are. Life is wonderful once you appreciate that comes your way. Enjoy!
