Getting Ready for 2014

We are approaching year-end, so it is getting time to close the books. How have you been doing this year?  Do you like what you have experienced; are you gaining momentum to do even better in 2014? We claim that this universe is pretty generous in granting your wishes, but you have to be focussed like a laser on your goals. If you are conflicted about something, or unsure what you really want deep down inside, there is little the Tao can do about it. It is like you are expecting a Christmas present from Santa, but you yourself don’t know what you want; so it will be hard for Santa to pick the right presents for you, right? Sit still for a while, connect with your heart, and find out what exactly you want to get and experience in the upcoming year. Listen to the suggestions of others as well. Perhaps a change is in store for you; the sooner you get ready for it, the better.

How fit are you? How healthy is your body and your diet? Without a heathy body and with little energy and passion it is hard to keep up with the many transitions the Tao has in store for you.  So please make sure you make health and energy a top priority.  Is material abundance something you want to manifest for yourself? Why? Could it be that you find that what you already have is all you need to experience bliss? There is no wrong or right. Just make sure you are not being caught in a hedonic treadmill. But if it truly matters to you, be willing to pay the price and enjoy! We are all worth living in abundance.

What do you want to do to join this world?  Perhaps that can combine your creative outlet with your desire to earn more. Make sure it is something you love doing and is in an area that truly brings out your talents. When you find something that you love doing so much that you would even do it without payment, you have found your niche. Go and run with it. The Tao will be on your side.  You will enjoy it so much when you share your speciality, your love and passion with the world. Light up the fire in you and see how your passions warm up the world.

Perhaps it is a good time to rethink your work environment? Do you want to work in a big firm? Do you prefer a 8-5 job or more flexible work arrangements? Are you willing to trade a less secure earnings stream with more creativity and freedom?  What do you want to experience when you are at work?  Love? Fulfillment? Joy? Connection? Abundance?  Power? Divinity? Security? Or creation?

Is a loving, supporting family life something you care for?  Or do you prefer to be single and free? What kind of relationship do you want to experience?  What do you want to do for your partner and what do you want your partner to do for you?  How many children do you want to have and what kind of experience do you want your children to experience?

Do you want to join a community of like-minded people. Is support something you are looking for?  What kind of relationship you want to experience with your friends, colleagues and significant others? Do you want to extend your love to anyone who joins your life and experience boundless wherever you are.

It is a process to find out what you truly want, just as it takes some time to find out what the Tao wants you to do. Keep a book with images, memories and visions to remind you what mattered in the past, and what your vision of the future is. Keep on changing the entries as you re-evaluate your choices and as you learn the price tag that comes with any new commitment. Be playful, be flexible and listen to the Tao. You set the agenda, the Tao will make sure you get to your destination in a way that truly works for you.

You can create the world you want to experience.  You just need to know what you really want and you need to know whether you are willing to pay the price to get it. Maybe you are already happy and satisfied in most areas of your life in which case you only need to zoom into a few changes. Maybe you are experiencing transitions and turmoil in several areas in which case you might as well come up with a completely new game plan. Listen to your environment and be in tune with your feelings. Of course you should also leave space for the Tao to be your copilot - the Tao always knows best. Once you let go of your inner conflicts, and once you understand that not all that glitters on the horizon is truly gold, the Tao can get going in giving you want. Actually, it is more than you can imagine.

We wish you a prosperous, fulfilling and happy life - 2014 is just the start.
