Ride the Journey to the Core

Spiritual traveler or not, we all sometimes get so lost in our problems and the dramas of life that we can't perceive anything except for pain, a bitter taste in our mouth and despair. We are too involved with the stuff that pulls us down that we cannot even see the flowers that are on the table, not able to taste the food that we wolf down, or see the sun that is breaking through the clouds. We forget our friends and family at our side and indulge in the illusion that we are just on our own!

There may be one advantage though that we Tao travelers have, we have the potential to snap out of it earlier than others as we have made it a habit to keep any eye on everything that comes our way. The pendulum of  the Tao will always swing to the other side sufficiently to make you aware that there is a life outside of your head and will reconnect you with what truly matters in life. Suddenly the world opens up again to you. You see the smile of the attractive person right in front of you; you taste the delicious food in your mouth, feel the love in the air and smell the arousing fragrances. You touch, hug and kiss your loved ones and experience the heat rising between you. It dawns on you that life is so much more than the the trifle you thought meant the world to you. Let the Tao remind you of who you truly are. All you have to do is to be willing to look up.  We are neither here to just suffer, nor we are here to just enjoy, celebrate, and having fun. We are here to wake up. Let life help you with that mission.

Have you ever heard the birds singing and chirping even in the winter? Have you ever seen the sun color the sky with His magical pen?  Have you ever noticed the trees rocking and leaves flying in a huge hurricane?  Have you ever enjoyed the excitement and warmth when you are together with your loved ones?  Have you ever burst into tears when you hear a touching song reminding you of home?  Have you seen everything is covered by snow and the world becomes silent and peaceful?  Have you ever felt the pain of separating from your dear ones?  Have you ever frustrated by the difficult tasks on the hands?  Do you ever feel the satisfaction and contented just looking at your sleeping baby?

When you fully experience everything life confronts you with you have a glimpse of wholeness. Nothing is either good or bad, only thinking makes it so. Life is neither complicated nor simple. It is designed to bring you Home. Life is a journey full of possibilities, abundance, varieties and setbacks. Embrace them all and have fun no matter what!
