Letting Go with Help of the Tao

No one with a personal investment is a reliable witness, for truth to him has become what he wants it to be.
(A Course in Miracles)

Is it possible to be without personal investment as the Course in a Miracles claims? Well, we can't really step outside of our desires and aspirations. If you say that you don't want to be rich, successful, good looking, popular, etc., there is a good chance that you delude yourself. Even if you say that you just aspire to be with God, you still want something that you think you don't have.

Walking the Tao is the observation that you tend to get what you want when you let go of the steering  wheel. You may call this wishful thinking, a religion, etc., but in the end this is a hypothesis that you can track quite well. Find goals that you consider spiritually kosher and then work on getting them implemented. Following the Way is the realization that you can follow your dreams effortlessly, joyfully and entirely conflict-free.

Discovering the Tao means surrendering to life. Complete openness to whatever comes your way merges your aspirations with the agendas of life's messengers. Perhaps you can think of yourself like a big magnet. Before you went out to get stuff, always running after the gold on the horizon. Along the Tao you just let your being shine. Once you open up to life completely you simply can't help but to let go. There are way too many balls up in the air, you have no choice but keeping your hands-free. Discover the magic of the Way that simply washes your agenda away.
