Spiritual Awakening: Mind the Healing Process

Those who would give light must endure burning.
Viktor Frankl

Everyone always tells you about the fire and power at our disposal but no one ever tells you what it takes to get to this stage. When my Awakening first opened up in the 2008-2010 period, I felt like I was on top of the world, connected with a Force that few seemed to perceive but me, and driven by a fire that felt like ecstasy. Sure, there were the few soul searching moments but they seemed to be the exception, not the rule. Alas, then came a seven year period of healing and of building a foundation. Sure, the power was still with me, but so were numerous ‘Dark Night of the Soul’ episodes. A healer came out of nowhere and helped me, patiently encouraging me to open up to my suppressed feelings and helping me to step out of my mind-centered world.

How come that we talk so little about the process behind the Awakening journey? How come that we are proudly displaying the spiritual talents at our disposal but otherwise keep pretty quiet about the uphill struggle to sustain them. Or is it that some spiritual Masters literally fall from Heaven? Well, maybe some of them had plenty of good karma from prior lifetimes that helped them accomplish that feat, but for me personally, I can assure you that I had claw myself to the level that I am currently operating at. Spiritual Awakening reminds me a bit of marriage; you get a nice honeymoon experience but then the bill gets presented one day and a lot of conscious effort has to be put into keeping the magic going.
