Get done what you feel you have to get done

I read a fascinating note by Steven Norquist who described his break-through—he observed existence without anyone being there, “the Truth is the dream of a sleeping rock”, as he called it. What stuck with me was his reaction, he said that in his first year after this occurrence he didn’t do anything. Activity felt like a waste to him. I have read this feeling of aimlessness, even laziness, in many enlightenment descriptions. So if you are in search of the Truth, better get done what you need to get done, chances are you are headed for a time-out when the break-through finally occurs.

I had a break-through of sorts this year, a feeling of finally being ‘there’. Sure, there is plenty of ego in me but in the ‘I Am That I Am’ experiences it disappears. Consciousness is there and no-thing else is. Outside of the blessed state, an observer kicks in who sees Christian do his thing. It takes the air out of the balloon. There is still some drive, but it no longer takes me places with the same intensity I once had. First I wondered whether age had caught up with me but increasingly I realize that the feeling of ‘being there’ is responsible for the lethargy. These days only love makes me do the things I have to.

Get done what you feel you have to get done! It is your mission that sets you free. It’s the only way of getting the inner tendencies and drives out of the system. Let life digest these drives for you, or even better, let life digest you! The day when you finally feel that you are ‘there’ you will laugh, what was all that searching and striving for? You are  ‘there’ and always have been. Moreover, your loved ones will bark at you to get your act together. Is that really what you are dying for experiencing? Enjoy your day, go with the flow, get things done without being in a hurry. You are ‘there’ already today.
