No-self is a no-brainer

Eckhard Tolle propagated the notion of spiritual consciousness that we are the ones being aware of our thoughts. The simple idea is that we need not be helplessly exposed to the back and forth of our whimsical mind, but rather have the ability to make decisions apart from it, by listening to our deep seated feelings for example, or by being aware of the energy we carry within and face without. The ultimate decision point is what matters, especially when we realize in the moment at hand that there is no decision maker to speak of—our action becomes a ‘no-brainer’.

Eckhart Tolle’s observer role provides a tool for a more conscious spiritual living, and  is at best a bridge to what lies beyond, the outright cessation of self.  Spiritual consciousness is having no thoughts whatsoever. It’s a stepping out of self, the conditioning, the fears, the aspirations. It’s a moment of silence and love. When I googled the word “conscious” it said, “aware, as in aware of one’s surroundings; sensitive to.” The next dimension is waking up from the one who is aware. It can only happen moment by moment. So who is reading this note?
