Who feels out of it?

 A woman friend once told me, ‘these days I am just happy when I climax during sex. I don’t take that for granted any longer.’ Strange as this comparison may sound, isn’t this true for our experience of Oneness as well. This vision of what lies beyond our self comes when it does. The ‘I Am That I Am’ state will always be special, so let’s welcome the mundane human moments just as much.  An artist has a vision now and then and afterwards does her best to share it with others. That’s already plenty.

 

There are some in our spiritual community who maintain that we can experience cosmic unity all the time. Maybe! I am a strong believer of the proverb, ‘those who say it cannot be done should not stand in the way of those doing it.’ Still, if you feel like me currently disappointed with the apparent mundaneness of life as is, and want to have this divine connection ever more often, maybe a good place to start to ask is, ‘who feels out of it right now?’ Maybe that’s exactly the time when ‘I Am That I Am’ appears.
