Claiming the power of now

 I wish I could communicate the intensity when I received spiritual messages via Massachusetts license plates in 2008-11. The whole world had turned into a playground. I saw people with new eyes. I realized there was a voice from beyond that was always nearby. It felt like a calling, an encounter of a new age world that needed communicating. That Force was something that could be seen, felt and even understood. There must be a way to communicate this to seekers who are weary of religions, I thought to myself. That’s how my first book, The Magnificent Experiment, was born.

 

I have been watching the dialogues between J. Krishnamurti and the physicist David Bohm in recent days. The concluded that we live in a thought-generated illusionary world. Truth penetrates this world, but thought cannot reach it. “How then can we connect the conditioned seeker with truth?”, JK asked and David Bohm had no answer as every instruction, every method, is thought-generated as well. “We need a miracle!”, JK blurted out. I had to laugh. Their dialogues took place in 1975 while A Course in Miracles was released in 1976. Apparently, God answered JK’s prayer.

 

Albert Einstein once mused, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ACIM is a channeled book of Christ-Consciousness that invites us to find the peace, love and miracle-mindedness in the here and now. It has amazing insights about the reign of ego (the force that edges-God-out) and could easily be a stand alone classic such as Tolle’s The Power of Now. Yet, to consciously work miracles you also need Jesus help, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

 

How do we merge with the higher energies without religious beliefs? Well, both JK and ACIM put their finger on it. We are these higher prevailing energies. They flow through us. It is our mind-body-world driven self-understanding that occasionally stands in the way. Mind-blowing miracles are our birthright, just as serenity and love are. Still, when the mountain refuses to come to the prophet, the prophet has to go to the mountain via self-awareness, mindfulness of body-mind-world connections, and letting go of the weight of the past.
