Zoom into the problem

The “I Am” state has nothing to do with the dualistic world most people are trapped in. Being wealthy, for example, is not the answer. I know enough wealthy people to tell you that they have issues just like the poor folks. Being beautiful is not the answer either. Talk to the Hollywood stars in their 50s, 60s, 70s. I am sure they will give you an earful of the problems they have. The realization in the “I Am” state is that there is a current that is simply outside of the dualistic world and not ever death can touch it.

Most of us drift in an out of the “I Am” state, so we are bound to return to our desires, aversions and problem statements. What to do then? It’s actually quite simple. Zoom into the problem. Investigate it. Hold the thing which takes away from your peace, abundance and love in your hand like a jewel and get your arms around it. I loved Suzanne Yang’s write up of the Letting Go approach. Turn inward until the interference dissolves. It has to because it was never real to start with.

Letting Go (by Suzanne Yang)

The essence of the Letting Go Method is not to strive or intend to let anything go. Rather, it is a gentle turning inward—a willingness to truly meet the heart of what is troubling us in this moment.

When we speak letting go phrases during the practice, we are not trying to fix or change ourselves. We are entering into a sacred dialogue with the wound, the fear, the resistance. As the conversation deepens, understanding dawns. And with understanding, love flows in—effortlessly, quietly, like sunlight through leaves.

What once disturbed us begins to lose its grip, not through force, but because it has been seen, heard, and held. In the light of love, it simply dissolves—returning to the nothingness from which it came.
