Some Prenatal Musings

The Lord, a child of God and the dark force were walking along a beach. The dark force said to the child of God, "Why do you even bother to go out again. You guys have been trying and trying for eons and only a minuscule number of you have managed to escape me. Take sex, I get most of the guys with this basic instinct and they become mindless and spineless". The child of God responded, "My natural beauty and my soul partnership with my husband will tie him to me and there is nothing you can do about it". The dark force responded, "We will see about that".

After a short while the dark force continued, "Take the so-called parental instincts. How many parents think that their love drives them to push their children so hard. It is exactly the same dark force at work; they only compensate for their unfulfilled dreams". The child of God responded that she will be a teacher or a soccer coach who will teach them a lesson or two.

The dark force tried for the last time, "You know what really cracks me up? Half of your spiritual writers are driven by the same dark desire, when they think they are out catching souls, they run after name and fame instead". The child of God replied "I will be there in the audience when they speak, as they help me finding myself, the tears that are flowing from my eyes will help them rediscovering their divine path." The Blessed Lord said, "I think you have to go now. Just remember that no matter where, no matter when, I will always be there for you." As He kissed her goodbye He said, "I have a hunch she is ready for the next stage".
