Your Mind Power

There are a number of books out there on thought control which I have read with interest. Still, I am not so sure that we can really control anything that is coming out of our 'mental pipes'. Better living might clean up your thought stream. In fact, I would turn the famous "you are what you think" phrase around to "you think as you perceive yourself".

There is a philosophy of mindfulness and right-minded living. As you pursue it and are honestly willing to clean things up, your stream of thoughts should become less cluttered as well. To show this is actually very easy. You know what your personal vices are, so for a day or two, just follow them at your heart's content and see how your thinking is changing. This is the law of attraction right there. You will change the events and characters you attract into your life right there, and your thoughts will get darker too.

The second lever you have is to burst mental bubbles. This is where mindfulness and the power of positive thinking comes in. While you cannot control the stuff that is coming out of your 'mental pipes' at any given moment, it is your choice whether you want to run with the thought or not. The power of positive thinking is to build the uplifting ideas within yourself over time and to gently ignore/resolve the issues that hold you back. If you are aware of a negative thought popping up, just burst it and move on.
