Altogether Now

When God Rama had to sleigh the demon king in Sri Lanka, he built a bridge over the sea. The army of monkeys did the lion share of this work, but many others participated in this hercularian task. Even a small squirrel carried as much sand to the construction site as it could. The monkeys laughed heartedly at this funny effort, but Lord Rama patted the squirrel and thank it for it's contribution.

There is currently so much turmoil in the world, so much suffering on a global scale as well as on a personal level. They say we are in a period of transition that takes old structures down in order to build new ones. They also say that you and I have to do our best to make this transition as smooth as possible. I was reminded of the squirrel story. Who knows what our contribution is, are we a monkey, the squirrel or Lord Rama Himself? Well, it does not matter really as long as we get the bridge into the next spiritual dimension built. Carry on my friend!
