Interferences

Do you remember the feeling when you had a splinter under your skin? It is the same feeling of a foreign object that you can have mentally: a glass of wine too many that makes you feel a little off the next morning, something bad too eat that gives you a bad stomach, a violent or obscene movie that requires mental indigestion, an unkind word, etc. A spiritual path is all about cutting out these interferences, not because someone tells you to, but simply by becoming mindful you just manage to connect the dots and realize the little things that throw you off the Tao. If an activity makes you less happy why to do it in the first place, right?

A spiritual path is a journey home. It is a point when you can internalize all your actions and study the impact they have on you. The further you advance the more peaceful you become and look forward to the next task the Source sends your way. Like spring cleaning, with every successful clean-up the next spot of dirt sticks out even more. Cut out all the interferences my friend and enjoy the stream of light as it shines on your path.
