This statement might be contentious, but I don't think spiritual path traveler have any edge over the ordinary folks. How many books have been written on how you are all love, all power and all peace, but do you really have it? Otherwise, why do you keep on searching?
If a ruthless business man climbs the ladder of success with all means at his disposal, he might be obnoxious, but he creates an outlet for all his subconscious drives. He might be underhanded vis-a-vis others, but at least he is honest with himself and tries to get what he wants. Can spiritual path travelers always claim the same? Perhaps the search for love, peace and happiness is an escape from the true motivations that are buried deep down in the subconscious.
There are benefits of spirituality. We spiritual path travelers are in tune with our environment to a degree ordinary folks simply are not. In an economy that increasingly values connections, creativity and communication, spiritual path travelers will do just fine thank you. Yet, before you can truly command all your powers, you will probably have a few dragons to slay. Please do not hide behind your self-appointed holiness and go after your dragons with the same forcefulness as our obnoxious CEO mentioned above. Embrace life - all the problems that come with it - has to be the battle cry of everyone, spiritual or not.
