The Riddle of the Broken Lamp

He was a spiritual aspirant and had a mystic lamp in his living room. This lamp was communicating with him. Whenever he played on-line poker when his girl friend was asleep,  this lamp would be acting up.  It almost seemed that the universe was sending him subtle messages, which his girl friend already told him in not so subtle ways, that he needed to stop. This night, as he had just managed to get out of the bedroom without waking her up, the lamp just fused and he was sitting in the dark. So he couldn't play after all, and of course, the next morning when his girl friend put the lamp on, it worked just fine.

Has it ever happened to you that your appliances talk to you? How do we explain our story?Is the universe intervening and wants our friend to stop playing on-line poker? We are all living a collective dream and everything is interconnected. Being a spiritual aspirant just means that some of these connections start opening up to you. But this begs the question what to do with these new-found powers. Will you manifest a billion dollar, a harem and fame, as one spiritual co-traveler once put it so pointedly? 

You have only one mission, waking up from our collective dream. Take our spiritual aspirant with his gambling problem. His lamp communicates to him that he is stuck. His conscious will drives him to his game, yet his energy vibration undermines his game plan. Outgrow this battle between conscious will and subconscious game plan until all forces in you line up and see where the journey takes you. That is all you can do really. The little mystical powers that you acquire just speed up your communication with yourself.
