Charles Murray has a fascinating, but unfortunately depressing verdict on the American society in 'Coming Apart: The State of White America': the rich are getting richer and separate themselves more and more from the poor who are getting poorer and many are simply left in the dust.

The New Agers expected that 2013 and beyond would bring the Second Coming of Christ and with it peace, love abundance and happiness. Again we will be disappointed, that is, those will who just sit around waiting for Godot. The bar has been raised for you personally, you have been offered a choice to find a career that expresses your creativity uniquely, you are given the opportunity to raise others and with it, see yourself surge to realms undreamt of. It doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor, your opportunity to express yourself will always be there and loving people will always come your way willing to extend a helpful hand. Unfortunately, all of this requires a lot of commitment, a lot of determination, a lot of staying power and a lot of love on your part. Nothing has changed really, only your upside has become so much higher, and with it unfortunately, the potential to fall hard along the way.
