Everything is Perfect as Is

Yesterday I discovered that my email wasn't working on my mobile phone, which was pretty inconvenient because I had to contact a colleague in Hong Kong late at night. This morning I was texting my friend half an hour ahead of schedule just to see whether my texting capability  was affected at all and we ended up talking half an hour more than we would have otherwise which turned out to be important because we needed the extra time. Every thing that happens to us has meaning; everything sets us up to react the next moment we need to and in a strange way everything is perfect as is.

To call every development 'perfect' only makes sense for the spiritual path traveler. Most people have an agenda and they will have a hard time considering adversity as perfect. But if you don't have an agenda, if your whole purpose of living is to let go, then you can experience for yourself that everything that happens sets you up perfectly for this psychological task.  Every depression has as much meaning as every high in the process of letting go. Once you experience this for yourself you are pretty much all set. After all, you can't wait to experience the next moment independent of what happens. Everything is perfect as is!
