The ego and the Tao are polar opposites. Choose the
one and lose the other. Adopt the ego's perspective and you will not see Her.
Dance with the Tao and you will be way too busy to have time for the voice that
always speaks first. Dance with the Tao and the ego will melt in Her
presence.
Whenever you try to control, whenever you feel resistance, or
need to exert lots of effort, you know that you have lost the connection with
the Tao already. The ego must be present in this case because along the Tao
everything is smooth and harmonious. But at least you have signposts to watch
for. If you catch yourself experiencing these symptoms, just let go of your
agenda and try to connect with the Tao again. The Tao is always waiting for you
with open arms.
When you stroll along the Tao everything you do is
passive - you just react to your environment but all along you know that you are
blessed in this magnificent moment and that the outcome will be beyond your
wildest imagination. You move with the flow, but that doesn't mean that you will
be jerked around like a straw in the wind. You need to be highly alert, highly
present to follow all Her steps. But don't worry, it is not a ballroom dancing
competition either. If you step on Her feet you will both stop and laugh
heartedly and then continue dancing. What is left is a perfect harmony, a
perfect union. All you can do is to admire the new creation - it will be
impossible to dissect what was your doing and what was Hers.
The mind
stands still when you connect with the Tao. All you do is to tune into the flow,
all your worries drop and your agenda fades in the background. There is music,
laughter and so much creativity and energy wherever She walks. In this oneness
you will get a glimpse of the Tao's secret and you always have this connection
at your disposal. When you experience Heaven on earth the ego just melts.
Enjoy!
