Life is But a Dream

The Blue Lord went with one of his disciples on a journey. The sun was hot and they both got a little tired so Lord Krishna asked him whether he could go to a well nearby to fetch them some water. The disciple went but when he reached the well he saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his lifetime. She not only took his breath away, but she literally brainwashed him. In his trance he forgot all about the Blue Lord. He started working on her father's estate to be near to her. After he had settled down and proven his worth he asked her father for his permission to marry her and the father gave his blessings. They had already three beautiful children and lived in bliss when one day a terrible flood came. He was separated from his wife at the moment when the water hit and with the children in arms he went to look for her. And while he was an incredibly strong man the flood was just too much for him. Child after child got torn out of his arms by the massive flood. Finally he was left all by himself, completely heart-broken and was just about to drown himself as well when someone tapped him on his shoulders. It was the Blue Lord who smiled at him and said 'Where have you been my friend, I was waiting for 20 minutes. You must have fallen asleep'.

Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream,
Merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.
