The Vision of the Self

There was a boy who loved little sea-shells. When his mom asked him to take the camera to take a video of the beautiful sunset he kept on moving the camera to the ground to film these beautiful shells lying on the ground. Over and over she had to remind him to move the camera back out towards the open sea where the beautiful sun was setting.

Perhaps you can think of your ego as that camera. It is a way of looking at things. A pull and push from the world you are living in. It is running after the stuff that shines while completely missing the beauty and connectedness of the Now altogether. Lucky for you, reminders of your Self are everywhere. Just take a look around and you will see Her pointers whenever you want.
