When Life is a Child's Play

Have you ever thought why you need challenges?  Is it because you have learned that when a hard problem gets solved it must be good? Are there are always lots of challenges in your life which make it hard for you to be happy?  Or do you subconsciously choose this kind of work and  life style to prove to yourself and others that you are only great when you tackle these difficult problems?

Bert Hellinger once told a story about a king who had some kind of skin disease which made him really miserable.  He had tried all kinds of therapies and seen so many doctor but no one could heal his disease.  Someone suggested him a mystic who was also a healer may be able to solve his problem.  So the king with his servants and guards climbed over the mountain, crossed the desert, passed the valley, travelled for a long way and finally got to the mystic.  The mystic told him that just bathing in the biggest river in his country would solve his problem.  But the king got mad and refused to do it.  His guard asked him why he wouldn't do it if it was so easy and the king replied, it can't be that easy to find a solution. So the wise guard replied to the king that since they have already traveled that far, they might also give that solution a try.  The kitan agreed, they went to the river and he got healed in one bath.

Does this story sound familiar to you?  Do you always treasure the more difficult solutions and neglect the easier ones?  Can you believe that your life can be changed just by being mindful about everything that goes on inside of you and your environment, and often just do what your friends, adversaries and "random" strangers suggest? Because that is the Way of the Tao. Life is a child's play when you listen to Her.

If you already travel the spiritual path for a while, you must have heard of lots of amazing spiritual experiences, most of them are actually true.  If you want to experience them, just do simple mindfulness exercises like rhythmic berating, meditation, monitoring what is going inside yourself and having a childlike openess to everything that comes your way. Follow our path for a few years and soon you will have an intense dislike for everything that is complicated and convoluted. Life is a child's play where She goes. Try it!
