Angels in Our Midst

Have you ever wondered why some people can do all these amazing things?  A Taiwanese woman in her seventies is taking care of 13 old people all by herself.  She cooks 3 meals a day for these old folks out of her own pocket, delivers the meals to their respective residences, feeds them, cleans their houses, and bathes them.  She has been doing this good deed for 7 years already.

 Every day she needs to wake up 4 o’clock in the morning to prepare all the ingredients.  Over these years, she must have spent about $100,000 on these folks. Someone asked her why she is doing it.  She said, her parents passed away when she was still young.  So one of her regrets is that she never had the chance to take care of them in their golden age. One day she just came up with this idea, why not take care of these old people living all by themselves? Since these people needed care, she decided to take care of them just like she would have for her parents. Although she needs to do a lot to serve these 13 old people, she doesn’t feel tired or strained at all.  To the contrary, she feels that she is filled with energy and never been so happy because of it.  Service and love gives her power and energy.

Another amazing story also happened in Taiwan.  An 80 year Austrian priest has been serving over one hundred abandoned sick people in Taiwan since he was 25 years old.  When he saw these people’s twisted limbs he couldn't help crying. These people have been the outcast in Taiwan because of their scary appearance and this priest felt compassionate enough to take care of them for half a century.  Love gives caretaker as well as patients power, energy and wings to fly.  When you are doing God's job you will be taken care of as well. Look out for the angels in our midst, they are everywhere.
