Tell Your Story

Spirituality has it that Heaven on Earth is very much at your grasp as long as you manage to redirect your ego drive. Science has it that there is an objective way of looking at things and that you very much are at the mercy of cosmic randomness. Taoism is something in-between. It claims that you can observe the yin and yang of creation and destruction, love and evil, life and death very much as a scientist does, but that you can spot a red threat that is unnamable, indescribable, but very real, very loving and very meaningful to you. Taoism is the belief that Heaven on Earth is yours to capture if you manage to go with the divine flow.

Let me propose yet another way of looking at the world, namely that of a story teller. It must have happened to you that you read a fiction book, or watch a great movie or a theater play and you wondered how the author was able to capture life so perfectly. Yet every fiction book is still captured in the yin and yang, good and evil, love and hate, whereas you have very much the ability to step out of it just as the Tao advises. You are a Child of God. It is very much in your power to write your life story, but please let God be your co-pilot.

Creating your fate line is very much a dance with life. You start with a vision, but you have to let life - the Tao - implement it for you. The Tao knows you so much better than you do yourself, so please work with the resistance that presents itself. Heaven on earth is a idiosyncratic experience, so please create your Garden of Eden, but do it with God's help. Experience for yourself that it is very much in your power to create a Hollywood ending for all parties involved, but please get there one step at a time.
