Letting Go of the Filter

If we could only experience everything without the labels "good" or "bad", we would likely experience life very differently. The opinion of the "I" is what gives all the events the personal experience; we put our own spin on things and often our own perspective of events differs a lot from the spiritual meaning events have.

Open up completely to whatever comes your way and observe how your mind comes to a complete standstill when you merge with the holy Now. You taste the bitter, the sweet, the sour and the salty and you get lost in the spice life as to offer without really having an opinion about it. You just are, just as life just is. A voice may babble in the background, but for the seasoned spiritual traveler that's just what it is, background noise. Fear, guilt, hope, desire are all there just as it is the case for everyone, but they do not change the course of our actions. And the more intensely we experience life, the more these emotions fade into the background. The experienced spiritual traveler just tolerates them as impressions along the Way.

Many of is cannot experience every moment completely as is because our energy gets zapped up by the interferences of the "I". It is as if one experiences the world through a filter. Our worries cut into our energy supply, while our hopes and desires artificially supercharge our energies; unfortunately every sugar high has to be followed by a crash. It is not life that throws us off-balance, it is our opinion about it. Know that your Self is always protected no matter what; so what is there to fear? Know also that all your authentic needs are always satisfied; so what is there to aspire? The Self is so much more than the thoughts in our head, and so much more than the feelings in our belly. Let go of the filter. It is not hard to do once you welcome life with open arms.
