Nurture Yourself, Even if it Takes a Little Effort

Being able to take physical discomfort is actually key to our enjoyment and fulfillment of our life.  It sounds like a paradox but it is true. We all want to have a good life.  However, this good life is actually based on our self-discipline and willingness to pay for it.  If you want to build a strong, stable, and sturdy house, you need to build a foundation. If we want our daily life to run smoothly, we need to have a good start in the morning. Exercise, meditation and good nutrition give us the energy for the whole day.  It is a little painful to wake up a little early to get all these things done in addition to a busy schedule, but it is definitely worth it. On the other hand, we always find out the hard way how it feels when we skip these energy-giving daily routines.

We cannot afford to walk away from Tao, just as we cannot afford to walk away from these mind-and energy-centering exercises. They gives as stamina, happiness and peace of mind. It takes a little effort to stay connected but the upside is that you have steady access to a higher energy and life support. Build your muscles, nourish your higher energy centers and sail through life at quantum speed.
