Authenticity is all that matters on the road to freedom

Relax, we can’t will ourselves into Heaven, so we might as well let our hair down. Let’s aspire for authenticity instead. When we aspire to be pure and realize how difficult it is, that’s when we truly realize what lies beneath the hood. All the pushing and trying is worth something; suddenly something clicks inside, something shifts; and we have taken yet another step towards wholeness.

One day we shall be pure and whole, and that’s when we are finally free. Until that blessed day though, let’s be authentic rather than ‘holier than thou’. Even if our style is not quite as kosher as some want us to be, it’s a lot more truthful than encountering the inner werewolf on a lonely full moon night. Authenticity keeps him at bay. Authenticity is all that matters on the road to freedom.
