Passion

“ It’s messing people up, this social pressure to “find your passion” and “know what it is you want to do”. It’s perfectly fine to just live your moments fully, and marvel as many small and large passions, many small and large purposes enter and leave your life. For many people there is no realization, no bliss to follow, no discovery of your life’s purpose. This isn’t sad, it’s just the way things are. Stop trying to find the forest and just enjoy the trees. ”

— Sally Coulter

Have you ever made love passionately? I mean, not just mechanically, but with an intensity and fire that made you just curl up in the lovers arms afterwards, sweaty, out of breath, and no longer quite sure if this bundle of flesh could ever be separated again. I watched the movie ‘Chef’ yesterday, and seeing Chef Carl Casper putting together sauces, preparing dishes, and putting ingredients together, with an intensity and focus that made the world come to a standstill for him at this moment. Watching him in action was a joy, and made me realize what blessing it is when we truly have found our calling.

Sally Coulter has a point in the above quote, but when you make passionate love to a person or while creating something beautiful, don’t forget to thank God for this blessed moment!
