Simply find your balance

When doing slows down, the thinking that is at its origin is exposed; when thinking dissolves, the feeling that is behind it is uncovered; when feeling subsides, the Being that is at its heart is revealed.
(Rupert Spira)

I saw Rupert’s insight this morning and wondered whether our spiritual journey could be summed up that easily. We say, “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop” for a reason. We have jobs to do and should be glad as they make our spiritual journey easy. The mind is occupied getting to our desired destination, and our feeling pain-body gets plenty of opportunities to let go of the past; hopefully, without accumulating much new stuff.

Sitting there like a hermit, doing nothing is effectively much harder. Our overactive mind takes us to the cleaners. Our mind was created for creative work. With nothing to do it attacks us with unsolicited advice while our stored pain-body makes itself felt. There is no wrong or right in choosing a spiritual journey; there will probably always be some monks who try to find GOD with meditation and solitude.

I have slowed down in my personal journey, at this point simply sharing my realizations along the Way. My powerful mind has slowed down, but I can still feel its uncreative part playing tricks on me unless I stay involved in creative writing, and exchanging my travel notes with others. The feeling pain-body still acts up but I figure it is just a question of time before it is completely removed by being.

Doing, thinking, feeling and being. Everything has its role to play in the Awakening process. Simply find your balance!
