To Love

For me, love is to recognize others’ experience as the same suffering just as I do; I recognize that they will lose their loved ones one day just as I will; I realize that they will age just as I do; I realize that they will die as I do; I realize that they need to make a living just as I do; I realize that they struggle with their weaknesses and mistakes just as I do. When I have these realizations, it is easier for me to love anyone on my path. Although I still cannot love totally unconditionally, it is much easier for me to love and forgive others after I have these realization. It is certainly much easier for me to interact with people from different races, cultures, backgrounds, social status and religions because despite these external differences, we as human being, have the same fate and the same experiences, and the same struggles.
