There is nothing to gain. Abandon all imaginings and know yourself as you are. Self-knowledge is detachment. All craving is due to a sense of insufficiency. When you know that you lack nothing, that all there is, is you and yours, desire ceases.
(Sri Nisargadatta Maharajah)
I remember the words of a J. Krishnamurti fan who went to his talks whenever he could. He said that he didn’t even listen to his talks anymore in the end. He just wanted to see him; feel his calming energy and listen to the sounds of his words.
We spiritual folks deal in energy. We add our presence to the moment like the final piece of a puzzle. We heal and make whole with our very presence. It is not us, mind you, it is the interaction, the magic of the moment. It is the holy fellowship of you and I.
Enlightenment is here and now. There is nothing to do, nothing to aspire for and nothing to regret. Just being and mostly enjoying what is. What you end up doing in this priceless state of being is entirely up to you. The moment will act through you.
