Never mind a little depression and don’t be bothered by a little meanness. Did you know that lottery winners, after an initial spike in happiness also revert back to the feeling they had before the lucky strike? Why do you think that is? Because they feel that it is finally in their power to have it their way, and unfortunately only find out a few years later that having it their way is a dead end street instead.
Fact of the matter is that these aches and pains open us up to finding a new way of facing life. It is only then that we open up to the Way for good. Life encourages us to look under the hood to discover what truly drives us. We have to be fed up with life to take that final jump, completely surrendering ourselves to the Beyond.
Many spiritual travelers want serenity, love and peace of mind. This is indeed our birthright, but we shouldn’t mind the aches and pain on the path towards it though. If we had what we ever asked for, no one would bother with self discovery. So never mind a little suffering, you have a perfect opportunity to break free today!
