The Lunch Surprise

I tourist walks into a hotel and ordered some food that looked good on the menu. A few minutes later a group of tourists walked in and ordered as well. Strangely though, even though this was a big group, their food got served first. Surprised, the tourist called the waiter and complained. The waiter told him that he had a special order and the top chefs were working on it while the group had received the standard dishes. To compensate for his waiting time, the waiter gave him a free drink on the house and brought some appetizers as well.

Shortly after the meal was served by 6 waiters. As it turns out an old friend owned this restaurant and had seen him enter the restaurant. To surprise him, he arranged this five-star meal. Those are the workings of the Way. Delays may bother us. We may feel neglected at times but a higher Power always looks out for us and surprises us with care and attention. Delays and neglect are our own demons crying murder. It is our job to stand up to them and continue pursuing our dreams. The lunch serving shall be yummy. Enjoy!
