I have become an idolator.
Because the wine is from
your cup, I have become a
drunkard. In the existence of
your Love, I have become
non-existent. This non-
existence linked to you
is better than all
existence.
Rumi
Sri Ramakrishna told the story that the children are playing with their toys while the mum is doing her work in the kitchen. It is only when the little boy throws his toy down and starts screaming when the mother comes running and consoles him.
Love is everywhere, we just have different names for it and enjoy different expressions.. Sometimes it is the love for our work, sometimes it is love for the friends we hang out with, sometimes it is romantic love, and sometimes it is love for our parents and children.
The problem only arises when we want to be different from where we are. Just like in Sri Ramakrishna’s story, love always rushes to our side when we are ready for it. Let’s even drop all these spiritual aspirations. We can be with Her anytime and everywhere.
