Have you ever observed why we are suffering? We are suffering mostly because we don’t live our truth. Instead, we try to force our truth into some norms, definitions, rules, models, expectations, or decisions. Of course, our truth won’t be able to fit into these mind-made models. If we do try to fit ourselves into some models, mostly we will feel that we are inadequate, not good, not right, or not making enough efforts. The truth is, none of us can fit into these models. These models are dead but we are alive. We don’t really have any definite shape or size. These models are just like square, rectangle, or circle, we are like irregulars, we can never fit into these dead models.
No wonder that most of us don’t feel that we fit into this society. It’s basically a mission impossible! We can work hard and force ourselves to fit in some of the models though. However, deep inside, we feel we are dead and are constantly in struggles. This is how we create conflicts in us. No wonder that most of us feel conflicted and struggling all the time.
You can observe this truth by observing yourself to fit into some models, like being happy, a girl, mother, husband, teacher, movie star, priest…as soon as you say you are something, you feel you are not that. Now what can you do with that? Pretend you are that? Or force yourself to be that? We have some jobs to do in this life. That’s all. Nothing can define us. We are that!
