Enlightenment 2.0

Did you know that all running waters eventually reach the ocean? That’s why we measure altitude by the distance to sea level. A basin will gather the waters at the foot of the mountain. Likewise, our soul is destined to return to Oneness, the question is only whether we participate consciously in this journey, or whether life takes us kicking and screaming.

Enlightenment is characterized by 2 conditions, the understanding of the workings of the self and the lack of drives whatsoever. All subconscious longings have been worked through and integrated so to speak. We no longer have to play games with ourselves and can express our authentic self without having a secret agenda of any sorts and can shoot straight from the hips.

Few of us have reached that blessed state, but what we can do is to enjoy the state we are presently in and understand its spiritual significance. Working through all the suppressed stuff and bringing it out in the open can be fun too. Why should the flowing drop of water long to be reunited with the ocean when it can be perfectly happy flowing in the magnificent river right now?

When you are ruled by sexual energy, find the soul partner who plays with you and helps you release it. When you are competitive deep down inside, find a soul partner who kicks the ball with you, and if you are greedy for money and power, find the soul partner who challenges you to build something worthwhile but who doesn’t take you to the cleaners.

Do you understand? Life gives you all the tools to express yourself authentically, to grow, to learn, and to transcend. Enlightenment 2.0 is the realization that every step along the Way is the destination. It’s the understanding that everything life throws at us is geared towards merging us with Oneness, and if you occasionally miss the beat and have to swim upstream, that’s part of the self-transformation too.
