Take me to the Truth

Gauthema, Lao-Tzu and  Yeshua bar Yosef discovered Truths millennia ago that is still hidden to most of us. Gauthema willed himself to that level of consciousness, though he let go just enough to receive it when he realized brute force is also not the Way. Lao-Tzu was as scientific as him, he observed his outside world just as much as what’s hidden within. He discovered the Way, the external manifestation of what lies within. Yeshua bar Yosef had Gauthema’s determination, Lao-Tzu’s keen observation skills, but he also had unshakable faith in his Father and that he was the messiah the Torah had prophesied.

How do the insights of these three spiritual giants help us to get to the Truth? Observation and mindfulness is what I always recommend to everyone. Observe, notice, feel the energy of your environment and open up to what’s bubbling to the surface inside of you. You cannot make a mistake just observing and being mindful. It’s the Way. Willpower— the conscious labor to stand up to all self-imposed interferences—is also part of the quest. Yet, willpower per se is a curious concept. ‘The ego becomes strong in strife’, reminds the Course in Miracles. That applies to the spiritual ego as well. Anyone who meditates for decades will get some visions, that’s how our brain is wired. Yet, are they really the Truth that we are looking for?

There are 7.5 billion people on planet earth currently, and there are as many paths to the Truth. ‘Which path is the best?’, a visitor once asked Ramana Maharshi, ‘The one you came on!’, was his reply. Have Buddha’s mindfulness, Lao-Tzu’s keen observation skills and Yeshua bar Yosef’s faith in the workings of the Beyond and Truth will be wherever you are.
