Sometimes folks in our spiritual community drop comments like, ‘he is unconscious’. I always cringe when I hear remarks like that. We are all the same, we just focus on different things for a while. Reflect for a moment, there must have been periods in your life when you had other things to focus on than spirituality. Did you really feel any less alive? Never for a moment think that you are better than the fellow next door just because you are on a spiritual journey. You are not. It’s just that a thought without any relevance.
I am going through a survey I sent to some 40 long-standing friends for my upcoming book, ‘Breaking Free’, and some of their accomplishments and metaphysical talents seem to be out of this world. Yet, I know these folks. They are my peers, no one is leading and no one is lagging. Some have a little more experience walking this journey; some had to overcome some bigger obstacles; some were born a little “freer” than others but deep down inside we are all the same.
As the saying goes, every sinner as a future and every saint a past. We are One!
