After awakening kicked in there were a few expression that I had to learn what they mean—English is my second language—and purging was one of them. Anyone who chases the light has to get a nasty wake-up call on a lonely full-moon night because we are not true to ourselves with these mental concepts of being 100 percent loving, positive, forgiving, etc. We have our heads in the metaphysical clouds but our body with its millions of years of cut-throat evolution, and our soul sparring life-times of hurt, intrigue and betrayal needs a little time to come around. Purging is natural and part of the deal. Stop attacking yourself over it. Let it just happen without getting in the way.
The corona virus forces us to detox. Meditate, drink plenty of fluids. Eat well and flush that thing out of your system. The amazing thing about this crisis is that for the first time all of humanity has to do the same thing. Some will take this occurrence and will awaken to a new world of healthy, conscious and spiritual living and some will go back to the old ways. That’s what always happen. This note was inspired by the Catholic notion of purgatory. That’s how this global time-out must feel for many. That’s when it occurred to me that purging comes from the expression purgatory. Well, I have become an purging expert after having been on this awakening obstacle course for 12 years. It’s really not so bad. Just give your body and soul a little time to catch up with who you truly are.
