I found this list of things that supposedly affect our vibrations:
Thoughts
Company we keep
Music
What we look at (love, gossip, cheating, giving, kindness, aggression, porn, etc.)
Our environment
Spoken word
Gratitude
Some try to actively manifest positive occurrences in their lives by visualizing what they want to attain and then putting their heart and mind on the desired outcome. The Law of Attraction states that we attract things, people and occurrences into our lives based on the vibrations that we put out. Try our the Law of Attraction and see whether it works.
Many spiritual folks subscribe to spiritual living, that is, they consciously try to become a ‘better’ person by hanging out with the right people, by avoiding all negative energies, and by always generating a positive environment with music, actions and words; by being mindful and grateful for everything they have and will be given.
My approach is non-dualistic. I aspire for freedom and I have learnt that I can only have it by embracing life—and myself—as is. Sure, I also aim to live a spiritual life, but I will say what comes to my mind, and will do what feels right. I have been on this quest for 12 years now and can tell you that even without trying for anything, we are transformed:
Thoughts have mostly come to a stand-still—the here and now reigns, otherwise stillness.
The company I keep is very limited—only family and friends hang out with me.
The music I hear is more and less the same, contemporary and country. Meditative music, chants and classical music are fine, but so are many other genres. In fact, in a time of struggle AC/DC got me through it.
I see the world as One—‘good’ and ‘evil’ has become meaningless to me though I mostly manage to avoid low-vibration energies, but then, I do watch Western and criminal and action movies.
I perceive the energy of people and places. Nature means the world to me. I practice Feng Shui as best as I can.
Again, my spoken word is non-dualistic. Many will consider me kind, some will view me as grumpy and even rude. I don’t care much. I am my authentic self.
I am grateful for everything life brings my way. Every moment is designed to shower me with love and set me free.
