Mean moments are fine,
as long as they awaken us.
Greedy moments are quite ok,
when they reveal our crude agenda.
Lust is not a problem either,
as we reflect on the nature of love.
What’s not fine is the ‘better self’,
the ‘nobler’ than the day before.
That’s when the ego has us in its grip.
Suffocating us with spiritual clothes.
No ‘self’, only life and stillness,
catapulting us ‘out-of-self’.
