It happened again! I have repeatedly told the story of how Awakening kicked in one day in 2008 for me—during the greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression. It was as if a new engine kicked in then, and a Voice appeared that I had never been aware of before. Twelve years later I got another electric shock during the corona virus crisis. It was the weekend when half the global population closed imposed quarantines. Financial markets crashed and the world came to a standstill. For a day I felt that fear that I remembered so well when I was still working in the financial sector. Yet, something strange happened; within hours this fear was converted into an electric creativity. I took my IPad and in two days of intensive writing I finished my forthcoming book ‘Breaking Free.’The underlying theme of the book suddenly became so clear. Any moment—may it be perceived by our self as good, bad or ugly—is an opportunity to break free. We can always connect with that creativity and energy if and when we manage to leave our self behind. I could see clearly now, but it wasn’t just after the rain was gone, I could see clearly now right in the center of the storm.
Millions are awakening these days. Millions are embracing their callings just as there are millions who are struggling like they never did before. These collective crises are part of our landscape because modern man has lost touched with his energy center and needs to be forcefully re-connected. Use this charged cosmic landscape for more than just starting over again with renewed vigor, or launching a new calling; use this energy for breaking free of self altogether. Charles Dickens’ famously starts his ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ with the observation, ‘It was the best of time, it was the worst of time,’ but this period is more than that. It’s an auspicious cosmic constellation encouraging you for an inner revolution, the loss of self. Dissolve in life’s endless ups and downs. The invite to break free is always present. So it might as well be today today!
