Go in God today

There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, a hole.
Go fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry
Go fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, fix it.
With what shall I fix it? Dear Liza, dear Liza
With what shall I fix it? Dear Liza, with what?
Nursery Rhyme

Reflect for a moment on the two words ‘passion’ and ‘enthusiasm;’ what associations come to mind. Technically, the word ‘passion’ expresses strong and barely controllable emotion and has suffering as its Latin root. In contrast, ‘enthusiasm’ is an intense and eager enjoyment. It’s more serene energy as the Greek root of the word is ‘possessed by God.’

Isn’t that what spirituality is all about in the end, a cleaning up of energy from self-obsessed to loving. We all deserve to live in happiness and fulfillment; we all have the means to be empowered to create the garden of creativity and love, but we have to focus on the right outlets. Running after desires that can never be fulfilled is like carrying a water bucket in town with a hole in it.

Living a spiritual life is really not that hard. Just reflect on what you are blessed with. Acknowledge the love and abundance you already possess. Now picture the problem areas, all the things that you still want to accomplish and get. Is there perhaps a hole in some of these cravings and fears? Is there a greed for appreciation and ownership that never can be filled?

Fix the hole in the bucket and go in God today.
