Welcome to the Science of Letting Go

The journey of self-discovery ends with the discovery that there is no self.
Wu Hsin

Next to God there is no psychology needed because there is no self to speak off. Yet, caught in life’s manifestations, psychology—the study of self—comes handy because we need to understand the process of letting go. In essence every spiritual seeker searches for something that resolves the perceived conflict and scarcity that life brings. “Be here now or be nowhere” is the response from our gurus. It’s factually correct but most—if not all—spiritual teachers are plain lying to you when they claim that they can be in the sacred space of the holy now all the time. Everyone is human. Everyone has a little bit of an attachment to awake to and learn to let go off.

It’s fine to work on the theory of spirituality and tell folks about the holy state of here and now. Personally, as a spiritual coach, I find it more rewarding to help folks with the process of stumbling on the ‘no self’ state and the techniques of letting go. ‘I love two men, what should I do?’, ‘why do I hurt so much leading up to the full moon?’, ‘I hate my job yet I need the money!’, or ‘why can’t I beat this addiction?’ are some of the questions that I get from people who are as enlightened as you and I. They shall find their answers by keep digging, and in the process, they are bound to stumble on the ‘no self’ state.

Welcome to the process of spirituality, welcome to the science of letting go!
