Beyond the void

When the work challenge was gone,

I couldn’t cling to professional success.

 

When the alcohol and porn was dumped,

I couldn’t escape any longer.

 

When my partner started living her own life,

I could no longer project into her either,

 

All that was left was facing the inner void,

and seeing what’s beyond pain and emptiness.

 

It’s tempting to avoid the void: it says avoid!

Notice the void, be once with it and go beyond!
