Recognize the Troublemaker

 Student:  Why do I feel more relaxed after I practiced the Letting Go Method.  Is it because the underlying issue is finally resolved?

 

Suzhen:  You feel peaceful because you have realized that you mistook a rope as a snake before.  What does this mean?  It means that you realized that truth which in itself is relaxing. We thought that we had an issue before, but actually there was no issue at all. We created one. So it is not the issue that was resolved but you see that you created an imaginary issue and made yourself suffer. You don’t have an issue otherwise. When you can see this, this radical truth, you will always be dealing with the root cause.

 

The issue is “your thinking” and how you identify with your thinking.  You have to see that “you thinking” is illusionary, not real and then the whole issue will collapse like a house of cards. The issue is that we indulge ourselves in our thinking.

 

This is how our thinking and our mind create issues. It is an issue created by our mind whereas in reality we do not have these issues. Once the mind creates the issue, it will then be filled with struggles and conflicts. We will be sucked into the conflicts and create other conflicts.  After a long time, even after different lives, we will mistake these as our issues.

 

Now we realize that this is not the case but to see we created the issues, and to realize “Who created these issues”, but now I really have these faults and have these issues to solve.  To see this “the mind creates issues”, but not I really have these issues, brings peace.
