Highway to the “pathless land”

 I was walking over to my son’s chess tournament. To my surprise I heard the “Highway to hell” tune playing. Not sure where it came from, but not really surprising either as AC/DC used to be my favorite band in the olden days. As I was walking, I suddenly understood that everything we do, aspire or fear is really an energy pathway. Heaven or hell are the names we assign to it but in reality, we just follow the energy of our perception of life as is.

 

J. Krishnamurti realized that the guru, saint or spiritual teacher is just an alternative energy pathway. Every priest can only grasp the falseness of this pathway on the full moon night when he downloads porn, otherwise the energy of the path he is on, and the projection of the devoted followers, will convince him that he is headed to the promised land. Even worse are those who flog themselves to resist the temptation. That’s spiritual ego multiplied.

 

So how can we live a life free of these man-made energies? How can we  truly experience life as is? I wouldn’t know. I only experience glimpses of what lies beyond self as I change lanes on the different highways. Here now is a pathless land, as J. Krishnamurti once observed. Let’s share these glimpses of what lies beyond as best as we can, and let’s understand these energy highways for what they are, humanity’s countless traveled roads.
